Sam Hoare

Sam is a managing associate in the Dispute Resolution team of Ogier. Her practice covers all aspects of dispute resolution including regulatory and public law matters, construction, contentious trusts, shareholder and property disputes.

Background and experience

Sam offers advice on a wide range of commercial litigation disputes and private client matters. She has a broad practice which includes advising in relation to regulatory and public law matters, construction, property, contentious trusts and shareholder disputes.

Sam has considerable experience of Jersey Law and has assisted with cases before a range of tribunals and courts in Jersey, from the Magistrates Court to the Privy Council. She has worked on a number of prominent, complex and multi-jurisdictional cases in Jersey and Guernsey concerning high-value contentious trust cases. She also has developed extensive experience in the management of large scale electronic discovery and document reviews. 

Prior to joining Ogier in August 2022, Sam worked at another leading law firm in Jersey for 13 years.

Sam studied Law with Criminology LLB at Keele University where she obtained a first class honours degree. She passed the Bar Vocational Course in 2007 before moving to Jersey in 2008.
