Cross-CI team advises on the acquisition of Condor Ferries

Deal

11 March 2020

Guernsey, Jersey

Ogier's Channel Island Corporate team has provided legal advice on the recent significant transaction to purchase Condor Ferries.

The team advised the purchaser consortium of Columbia Threadneedle European Sustainable Infrastructure and Brittany Ferries on the Jersey and Guernsey legal aspects of the acquisition. This included advice on Corporate, Regulatory, Competition, Property and Employment matters. In addition, Ogier's Finance team in Guernsey advised on the financing aspects of the transaction.

Working alongside White & Case LLP in London, the Ogier team comprised of Raulin Amy, Matthew Shaxson and Alexander Curry in Jersey and James Walsh and James Dickinson in Guernsey.

Raulin said: "Condor provides a lifeline service to the Channel Islands, operating passenger and freight services between the islands and the UK and France, and we are delighted to have been able to provide our expertise across all the Jersey and Guernsey legal aspects of this important transaction."

"Transactions like these play to Ogier's strengths – providing cross-jurisdictional advice as a single team and leveraging our expertise across multiple service lines to provide the very best service to our clients."
