Ogier assists Warburg Pincus on Aztec Group investment

Ogier's private equity specialists in the Channel Islands advised Warburg Pincus and their lead deal counsel Kirkland & Ellis on Warburg Pincus' strategic investment in Aztec Group.

The investment will support Aztec, an international fund and corporate service provider, with its continued expansion into high-growth global markets, particularly the United States. The transaction will also see private equity firm Warburg Pincus become a key client of Aztec Group.

Ogier's multidisciplinary team provided Jersey and Guernsey legal and regulatory advice on all aspects of the transaction. This included extensive advice and assistance in relation to the acquisition / investment documents, structuring advice and due diligence across all Channel Islands aspects of Aztec Group.
 
The team was led by Jersey Corporate partners James Fox, Amy Garrod and Richard Daggett, who were supported by senior associate Danny Cole and associate Lara Morand. Jersey funds and regulatory expertise was provided by partner Niamh Lalor and associate Naomi Chinniah, alongside Guernsey corporate, funds and regulatory advice from partner Tim Clipstone, counsel James Walsh, managing associate Michelle Watson Bunn and associate Tobi Oluborode.

Senior associate Laura Shirreffs advised on Jersey property matters with Jonathan Anderson assisting with the Guernsey property aspects and Chris Hards acting in relation to Guernsey pensions.
