Ogier and AIMA Hong Kong: ESG for APAC Asset Managers - Navigating Climate-related Financial Risks 2021

Event

21 January 2021 - 21 January 2021

08:30

Hong Kong - Webinar

Leonie Kelly, Head of ESG and Impact Advisory services at Ogier Global, will be hosting a webinar for AIMA members to discuss the recent factors driving ESG growth in APAC, how to manage ESG risks and why climate-related financial risks are taking centre stage locally and globally. Managing climate risk has become a critical aspect for managers investment and risk processes, along with the ability to measure the impact of climate change.

In this briefing session, speakers will set the scene by providing an overview of policy and regulatory developments in the APAC region and the potential impact on asset management. We will reflect on Hong Kong developments including the recent SFC proposals to amend the Fund Manager Code of Conduct that would require climate-related risks to be considered in fund managers investment and risk management processes as well as to make appropriate disclosures.

Participants will walk away with an understanding of how these regulations will impact their businesses, gain a deeper understanding of what climate-related financial risks encompass and practical considerations for how asset managers can prepare for ESG integration and assess such risks.

The webinar is targeted at fund managers, asset managers, senior management, CIOs, COOs, CEOs, in-house counsel and compliance, and financial institutions.
