Join us for this webinar hosted by the Channel Islands Employment team at Ogier.

We will be joined by Adam Solomon QC of Littleton Chambers.

Adam is a commercially minded trial advocate, who has appeared as lead counsel at every level, from the Commercial Court and Queen’s Bench Division to the Court of Appeal, Privy Council and Supreme Court. He is recognised in the directories in respect of all his practice areas.

During the session we will consider the use of compromise agreements in 2022 and whether their use is still appropriate:

  • Common questions and issues arising from the use of compromise agreements (eg in relation to gagging clauses and waivers)
  • Misconceptions around the use of compromise agreements (eg as a tool to avoid consultation or procedures)
  • UK developments and cases including:
    • Gagging and confidentiality provisions including NDAs in certain cases
    • The use of compromise agreements in light of P&O
