Grab your cutlass and your eye patch, the pirates are returning to the Maritime Museum for February half term.
Sponsored by Ogier, "Pirates at the Maritime Museum" will provide five days of swashbuckling, action-packed, family entertainment with Jersey Heritage from 21-25 February.
Ogier's marketing director, Kate Kirk said: "Ogier is committed to supporting education projects and we're proud to be working with Jersey Heritage on a series of action-packed events focused on family learning. We're excited to see the year starting with the return of the Pirates at the Maritime Museum. This is a great event for all ages – as sponsors, we'd love to see families adopting their best pirate accents and getting involved. Interactive learning through events like this is a great way to find out more about our Island's history and is a perfect way to enjoy a fun, family day out."
There will be two sessions each day, running from 10am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-4pm. As part of these, visitors will have the chance to meet the pirates, learn about life on board a ship and take part in various activities. Entry is free for Jersey Heritage members and children under the age of six.
Jersey Heritages' events curator, Nicky Lucas said: "We are delighted the pirates are returning to Jersey and the Maritime Museum. It's been a while since they were last on our shores but we're certain they will prove to be as popular as ever. We've got plenty of fantastic entertainment lined up over the half term week and would love to see as many would be pirates as possible dressing up to add to the atmosphere.
"Pirates at the Maritime Museum is one of our most popular events and we strongly advise everyone – including Jersey Heritage members – to book their sessions in advance on Eventbrite so they don't miss out."
