Ajda Genchsoy

Ajda is a senior associate in our Investment Funds team in Luxembourg and advises clients on all matters related to Luxembourg funds, with a particular focus on alternative strategies, including private equity, venture capital and real estate. Ajda advises on the setting up of regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds adopting all kinds of corporate forms. She also has expertise in fund financing and cross-border private equity and real estate transactions.

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier, Ajda was part of the investment funds team of an international law firm in Luxembourg where she worked on set-ups of alternative investment funds and advised several asset managers on fund management related matters. She was also seconded to the in-house legal team of major asset managers in Luxembourg.

She has been working for law firms since 2010 in fund formation and corporate transactions, with particular experience on cross-border merger and acquisitions.

Ajda completed her Master of Law degree (LLM) at the Queen Mary University of London with the Success Scholarship Programme. She is qualified in Turkey and currently in the process to be admitted as a solicitor of England and Wales.

Ajda speaks English, German and Turkish and has some basic knowledge of French.
