Jasjit Grewal

Jasjit advises on a broad range of banking and finance, investment funds and corporate matters in the Cayman Islands and is a member of the Latin American practice team. Jasjit acts for both international lenders and borrowers on financing transactions, with a particular focus on fund finance. Jasjit also advises on the establishment, on-going management and regulatory compliance of open-ended and closed-ended mutual funds and private equity funds.

Background and experience

Prior to joining Ogier in 2022, Jasjit was part of the English law finance group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he primarily worked on leveraged finance, structured finance and banking mandates. Jasjit was also part of the market-leading finance team at Mayne Wetherell.

Jasjit holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), where he graduated in the top 10% of his cohort, and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of Auckland.
