Jason Fitzgerald

Jason is the Managing Director of Ogier Global in the Cayman Islands. Jason has extensive experience having worked exclusively in the alternative investment funds industry in Bermuda, Ireland and the Cayman Islands over the past 18 years. Jason has served as an independent director to hedge funds and private equity vehicles since 2012. Jason is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team.

Background and experience

Previously, Jason was an independent director of DMS Governance Ltd. where he oversaw fund governance for a portfolio of hedge fund clients. Jason was also a Manager for Citco Fund Services in Ireland, where he was responsible for managing a team of accountants across a wide variety of hedge funds. The portfolio of clients that Jason worked with had assets in excess of US$4 billion. Prior to this Jason worked in Bermuda as an Account Manager with Butterfield Fund Services and in the audit department in Deloitte. He also trained and worked as an Audit Senior for Ernst & Young in Ireland.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from University College Cork, Ireland. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), a designation he earned through Chartered Accountants Ireland. He is an Accredited Director of the Chartered Secretaries of Canada and a member of the Cayman Islands Institute of Professional Accountants. Jason is a Registered Director with the Monetary Authority and a member of the Cayman Islands Directors Association.
