Matthew qualified as an English solicitor in March 2019 and in 2021 qualified as a Jersey Advocate, having trained with Ogier. He currently offers advice in relation to a broad range of areas including commercial and financial disputes, regulatory matters, shareholder disputes, and contentious trust matters.
During his training contract with Ogier, Matthew sat in the investment funds, corporate and private client and trusts teams.
Prior to joining Ogier, Matthew worked as a paralegal in the litigation department of another leading Jersey law firm, where he assisted on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
Matthew graduated from the University of Kent in 2014 with First Class Honours in Law, and went on to complete the Bar Professional Training Course at Nottingham Law School in 2015, attaining an overall mark of ‘Very Competent’. Matthew achieved a distinction on the LPC at BPP University in 2017 while working at Ogier.
Matthew won IFC Lawyer of the Year - Associate (Bronze) at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2020.
