Outstanding recognition for Ogier's top tier Jersey teams in Legal 500 UK 2024

Ogier in Jersey has been ranked top tier across eight key practice areas in the new Legal 500 UK 2024 guide, including banking and finance, capital markets, commercial property, corporate, dispute resolution, employment, investment funds and private clients, trusts and tax.

There are 29 ranked individuals from across Ogier's legal services, and another 10 identified as key lawyers, recognised for their standout contribution to their respective practices.

Jersey practice partner Raulin Amy said: "This is another excellent set of results for our Jersey teams. Ogier is described as "clearly one of the leading offshore firms" for banking and finance, with an unrivalled knowledge and commerciality in the market. From the top tier team, Katrina Edge and Bruce MacNeil are ranked as leading individuals, with next generation partner rankings for Kate McCaffrey and James Lydeard. Jennifer Cox is noted as a key lawyer.

From the Capital Markets team, which has retained its top tier ranking, Raulin Amy and Bruce MacNeil are named as leading individuals, with Alexander Curry ranked as a next generation partner. According to client feedback, "Ogier is across everything needed for Jersey requirements."

The Commercial Property team is praised for its unrivalled depth of knowledge and experience. According to feedback, "what really makes them stand out is their proactive, responsive and commercially aware approach." Jonathan Hughes and Katharine Marshall are named as leading individuals, Sarah Parish is ranked as a rising star, and Laura Shirreffs is noted as a key lawyer.

According to the guide, Ogier's "go-to" Corporate team in Jersey is "fully resourced, technically excellent and partner-led." Raulin Amy is in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, while Simon Dinning, Matthew Shaxson and Richard Daggett are ranked as leading individuals. The guide includes next generation partner rankings for Alexander Curry, Oliver Richardson, and Amy Garrod is named a rising star. James Fox, Kevin Grové and Chloe Watson-Hill are recognised as key lawyers.

Described as "experts in their field" and "absolutely first-rate", Ogier's Dispute Resolution lawyers have received outstanding recognition in the guide, with a Hall of Fame ranking for Edward Mackereth, leading individual rankings for Nick Williams and Damian Evans, and next generation partner rankings for Oliver Passmore, James Angus and Rebecca McNulty. Matthew Davies is recognised as a key lawyer.

Ogier's top tier Employment team provides "very commercial, comprehensive and timely" advice. Helen Ruelle is ranked in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame and Will Austin-Vautier is recognised as a rising star.
