STEP Cayman Lecture: Beneficial Ownership Transparency
Ogier is pleased to sponsor the STEP Cayman Islands Lecture series at the George Town Yacht Club.
Counsel Martin Byers and Senior Associate Megan Mcluskie will lead the presentation titled "Beneficial Ownership Transparency: Where are we now? What do you need to know?"
The seminar will cover:
- A brief recap of the Cayman Islands Beneficial Ownership Regime as it currently stands.
- An overview of the new Beneficial Ownership Transparency Bill, including:
- what it changes and the key impacts/ issues to be aware of with respect to trust arrangements;
- the question of public access to beneficial ownership information; and
- timing expectations/ implementation.
