Important Guernsey company law changes came into force on 3 September.

Ogier’s Trust Advisory Group in Guernsey will share the latest legal position and implications for Guernsey trustees with 100 local trust professionals at a seminar tomorrow (Wednesday 16 September).

Focusing on their practical impact, partner Mathew Newman will provide an overview of the main changes and the implications for trust and company service providers in Guernsey. 

They will explore changes to the payment of dividends and distributions, the rights and obligations of directors, and the issuing and redemption of shares. 

They will also provide an overview of limitation/prescription periods in relation to claims against trust service providers in Guernsey.
