Ogier’s Private Wealth team has achieved outstanding success at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2025, taking home three Gold awards including one of the evening’s top accolades – the Best Employer: Career Progression award.
The results mark a clean sweep for Ogier, recognising both the firm’s culture of professional growth and the exceptional achievements of its rising stars.
Associate Tehya Morgan from Ogier’s Guernsey Private Wealth team won Gold in the IFC Lawyer of the Year – Associate category. Tehya joined Ogier in 2018 as a paralegal and has progressed through the firm’s trainee solicitor programme to her current role as an associate. Known for her dedication and strong technical ability, Tehya has become a valued adviser within Ogier’s cross-jurisdictional Private Wealth practice.
Judges’ comment: “Tehya showed a strong international outlook and an impressive grasp of the issues facing clients with assets and family members in multiple jurisdictions. The judges highlighted her energy, clarity and attention to client service.”
Grace Gao, recently promoted to Counsel in Ogier’s Hong Kong Private Wealth team, won Gold in the IFC Lawyer of the Year – Managing Associate category. Grace advises high net worth families on international estate and asset protection planning and is recognised for her expertise in cross-border succession and family governance matters.
Judges’ comment: “Grace was praised for her thoughtful, solutions-driven approach and her ability to coordinate complex workstreams. The panel felt she exemplifies the modern cross-border private client lawyer.”
Ogier was also named Best Employer: Career Progression, an award that celebrates organisations championing the next generation of leaders within the wealth management industry. The recognition highlights Ogier’s commitment to creating pathways for advancement and the firm’s dedication to developing exceptional lawyers across its global offices.
Judges’ comment: “Ogier’s submission showed a structured but human approach to career development, with real investment in training, mentoring and international opportunities. The judges were struck by the consistency of feedback from people at different levels of the firm.”
Matt Guthrie, Ogier's global head of private wealth, said: “Winning three Gold awards at the Future Leaders Awards is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for everyone at Ogier. Tehya and Grace are both excellent examples of the talent and drive that define our Private Wealth team, and this recognition for career progression underlines how much we value supporting our people to grow and succeed.”
The Citywealth Future Leaders Awards celebrate outstanding professionals under 40 across the international private wealth sector. The 2025 ceremony took place on November 11 at the InterContinental London Park Lane.
