Ogier launches Talent4Impact fellowship for next generation of ESG professionals

News

09 March 2021

Hong Kong

Ogier in Hong Kong has launched the Talent4Impact programme to nurture the next generation of ESG and Impact professionals - kick-start your career in ESG and Impact with a three-month rotation programme to learn about ESG and Impact.

The three-month fellowship aims to build a pipeline of ESG and Impact-ready talent for the marketplace by supporting and exposing more professionals to practical work experience in the industry.

“This is a really unique opportunity to gain exposure to the ESG and Impact at specially selected local businesses and organisations striving to transition Hong Kong to a sustainable economy. The exposure, skills and insights you gain will be instrumental in helping you carve out a career in ESG and Impact”, said Leonie Kelly, Director, Head of ESG and Impact Services.

As identified by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, there is currently a skills gap in ESG research and product innovation among mainstream banking practitioners, and the wider financial ecosystem in Hong Kong. Talent4Impact has been launched to address this problem, said Partner and Head of ESG (Legal) Kate Hodson.

"As a firm, our CSR efforts have long had a focus on education. This new Impact talent programme is an extension of the pride we take in investing in skills, training and helping people to achieve everything that they can. We are aware that there is a gap in the talent pipeline for experts in ESG and Impact in Asia and this is an area that Ogier is keen to support."

The Talent4Impact Fellowship is designed to provide mid-senior career individuals, career switchers, or employees released on secondments, the opportunity to learn from Ogier Global's ESG and Impact advisory business and its supporting Impact Partners, Dream Impact and the Sustainable Finance Initiative.

Applications are open until midnight on July 17. For more information, read our brochure: Ogier Talent4impact 2022 programme overview In partnership with Dream Impact and Sustainable Finance Initiative
