Ogier’s dynamic Hong Kong team praised in Legal 500’s 2026 rankings

Ogier’s lawyers in Hong Kong have been praised for their excellence in the 2026 edition of the Legal 500 Asia Pacific: Greater China guide. 

Described by clients as “dynamic”, “proactive” and “excellent”, 14 lawyers from Ogier’s Hong Kong office have been recognised within the guide, including six Leading Partners – Kate Hodson, David Nelson, Anthony Oakes, Oliver Payne, Nicholas Plowman and Nathan Powell. 

Recognised for providing “a well-rounded offering” in the region, the guide highlights the firm’s corporate, finance, funds, private client, litigation and restructuring and insolvency practices. 

Recognition for Ogier in Hong Kong  

Ogier’s corporate and finance practice “is highly integrated and collaborative” with a “very well-organised team” who “deliver seamless service”. The Corporate team is led by partner Nathan Powell who is valued for his knowledge of the market and praised as being “on top of the market trend”.  

Legal 500 has also recognised partners Florence Chan, Rachel Huang, Cecilia Li and Yuki Yan as “key lawyers”.  

Restructuring and insolvency specialist Oliver Payne, is noted for being a "great lawyer and strategist", while fellow dispute resolution partners Justin Davis and Joanne Collett, and counsel Edwin Gomez have been recognised as key lawyers.  

Partner Alan Wong, who leads Ogier’s Tech and Web3 offering in Asia is “a driving force behind the team’s technology-focused mandates”, with client feedback commending his “solid legal knowledge” and “excellent sense of service”.  

Meanwhile, private wealth expert Grace Gao, who was promoted to counsel earlier in 2025, has been named as a Leading Associate.
