Ogier's “outstanding” Cayman team “lives up to the challenge” in the Chambers Global 2026 Guide

Ogier has received excellent rankings across a wide range of its practice areas in the Chambers Global 2026 Guide, with clients praising the “dedication to client service” and “deep legal expertise” of its Cayman offering.  

An impressive 18 lawyers have achieved individual acknowledgment, and the team has been described as “carefully considered and thorough”, “outstanding” and “undoubtedly experienced”.  

Commenting on the rankings, Cayman managing partner James Bergstrom said, “The brilliant feedback from our clients in this year’s guide truly reflects our commitment to delivering both exceptional client service and legal expertise.

Recognition for Ogier's Investment Funds and Regulatory teams 

Ogier’s Investment Funds team is “outstanding” and “never fails to live up to the challenge”.  

The “trusted commercial advisor” Joanne Huckle, who leads Ogier’s Investment Funds team globally and is also recognised for her work in Ogier's Regulatory team, is “great to work with”, with clients praising both her “thorough knowledge of the law and the current regulatory environment in Cayman”. 

Eminent Practitioner James Bergstrom is “the best in the industry” and has “seen it all”.

Meanwhile, Ogier's Regulatory team is known for providing “clear, responsive and technically sound guidance, helping to maintain robust compliance frameworks across multiple Cayman-domiciled entities”. 

Recognition for Ogier's Dispute Resolution team 

Noted for its “great bench strength” Ogier’s Cayman Dispute Resolution team is commended for having the “technical experience to handle large and complex matters” while “working seamlessly across multiple offices”. 

Marc Kish, noted as a “go-to partner in Cayman” and described as a “class act at the top of his game” has progressed to Band 1 within the rankings. Rachael Reynolds KC has once again been classed an Eminent Practitioner. Client feedback describes Rachael as “almost certainly the premier trust litigator in the jurisdiction” with “impeccable judgment”. 

Jennifer Fox, Christopher Levers and Gemma Bellfield have all maintained their individual rankings. Jennifer is revered as a “phenomenal lawyer”, and Christopher is celebrated as “truly brilliant at every level”. “Superb” Gemma is noted for her dedication to “fight tooth and nail to get the result she believes her client deserves”.  

Farrah Sbaiti remains an Associate to Watch and is described as “a fantastic talent”.

Ogier's Banking, Finance and Corporate teams in Cayman are praised for their “dedication to client service” and “ability to constructively solve transactions”. 

Angus Davison is recognised as an Eminent Practitioner. James Heinicke is a “terrific lawyer” who “always provides high-quality legal service and advice” and is a “pleasure to deal with”. James, Bradley Kruger and Mark Santangeli, who is noted for his knowledge of “unusual and complex financing arrangements”, all maintain their rankings.

Ogier’s Real Estate team has been ranked for the first time, recognised for being “incredible to work with” and providing “invaluable advice”.  

Cline Glidden, also ranked for the first time, is described by clients as an expert who is “deeply influential in the local market and well known in the industry” and could not be held “in any higher regard”. 

Recognition for Ogier's Intellectual Property (IP) Group 

Intellectual Property specialist Sophie Peat maintains her ranking and is praised for being “very knowledgeable” with “a great handle” on trademark issues.
