In Your Court: Offshore Dispute Resolution Review - January 2021

The pandemic continues to present significant challenges for litigation proceedings across the globe, but many jurisdictions have shown their capacity to adapt. This includes our own jurisdictions, whose courts have ensured near-seamless continuity, and avoided the disruption which has been seen elsewhere.

COVID-19 has been a dominant theme over the past 12 months, but as our Q&A with Global Head of Dispute Resolution Marc Kish demonstrates, there are other significant developments to consider in the dispute resolution world, including the global trend towards increasing regulation and supervision. Read Marc's views on the major developments in the offshore world here: Key trends in offshore dispute resolution: Q&A with Global Head of Dispute Resolution Marc Kish

We were delighted to recently announce new partners in the Dispute Resolution team, Justin Davies (Hong Kong), Sandie Lyne (Guernsey) and Michael Snape (Hong Kong), and we are also pleased to see continued industry recognition for our people, including Rachael Reynolds being named Advisor of the Year at the Wealthbriefing European awards (watch Rachael's acceptance interview here), Nicholas Tam, legal manager in Hong Kong, taking home the top prize in the Chartered Institue of Arbitrators essay competition, and a win for Associate Matthew Davies at the Citywealth IFC Awards.
